Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Hephaistos, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application or public services.

2. Service description

Hephaistos is an app for using Jarvis through a server path. Jarvis features require either a self-hosted Hephaistos server you operate, paid Hephaistos Cloud hosting, or an advanced operator-managed deployment that exposes the compatible Hephaistos API.

3. Supported deployments

The official personal-node path supports macOS Apple Silicon, 64-bit Linux on x86_64 or arm64, and 64-bit Windows on x86_64. macOS uses MLX. Linux and Windows use the verified llama.cpp release with Vulkan acceleration when available and a CPU fallback. Hephaistos Cloud is the paid managed path for users who do not want to operate a computer.

4. Account responsibility

You are responsible for your credentials, MFA codes, devices and server configuration. Do not share admin tokens, service-role keys, private keys or subscription receipts.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to bypass security, rate limits, bans, MFA or moderation.
• Do not use the service to harm others, violate the law or infringe third-party rights.
• Do not overload public infrastructure or abuse automation features.

6. Subscriptions

Mobile subscriptions, including Hephaistos Cloud hosting where offered, are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play where available. The server validates receipts before granting paid cloud access or other subscription features. Cancellations, refunds and billing disputes are handled through the relevant store unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

7. Generated answers

Generated answers can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe. You are responsible for verifying important answers before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety or operational decisions.

8. Data and privacy

Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your prompts, uploaded content and generated outputs to the extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

You may delete your account from the application. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, unpaid subscriptions or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes are submitted to the competent French courts unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
